Visolaris works with Stagecoach to reduce their carbon output

In the press

Stagecoach Ltd have taken strides forward in their efforts to reduce their carbon output. Working alongside Visolaris Ltd they have embarked on a project to install Solar Pv on all of their depots nationwide. The Scottish based firm started looking into their options over a year ago when they found Visolaris who were able to satisfy their needs for solar panels and wind turbines.

So far in the region of 2MW of PV has been installed from the north down to Portsmouth with the project continuing on to a proposed 30MW at completion. A number of Stagecoaches sites have also been ear marked for turbines which will even further improve the energy reduction and carbon emissions.

The partnership with Visolaris was based upon a PPA(Power Purchase Agreement) which meant Stagecoach were able to have panels installed without any expenditure, only paying 50% of their current electric price to Visolaris for the energy created from the roof mounted systems.
